And so the cover-up begins

Honestly, I swear I'll never understand just how the minds of those that run Conservapedia work. It's fairly common knowledge that long-time administrator and de facto leader of Conservapedia, Terry Koeckritz, has passed on. Yet, besides a passing comment in the sysops' chat group, where they had to rely on information from RationalWiki, not a word has been said about it. Andrew Schlafly discouraged any mention of it on CP's main page, with vague references to "vile liberal trolls" - kind of ironic, given the number of graves he's danced on in the past.

Where it gets really weird, however, is when Andy and his cohorts - in this case John Patti - actively lie through their teeth and then in true Conservapedia fashion, punish the editor and remove any evidence the question was asked.

Case in point: long-time (and slightly weird) editor Willminator (who's been around long enough to have earned minor rights from Andy), pops up on Andy's talk page and asks a perfectly reasonable question:  "I've been trying to email my friend Terry for days to ask him something, but he doesn't respond. I found out that he recently died because of some coronary artery disease. Do you have any information on this? I ask you because I assume that you were close to him."

Now one would expect Andy to maybe say, "Yes, I've heard the sad news," or act surprised if it was the first he'd heard about it - nearly 2 months after the event. Yet all he says is, "Sorry, I don't have any information for you about this."

Now, technically, that's not a lie, it's just Andy being evasive as always. No, it takes loyal minion and TK wannabe John Patti, to do the really disgusting stuff. He runs in and blocks Willminator, citing "Deliberate insertion of false information; lying" and adding as an afterthought, "I'll be watching to see if you try to unblock yourself again." Of course, he didn't have to watch for long, because he scurried off to Andy, and had Willminator's rights revoked. I wonder if little Johnny boy would care to crawl out from under his rock and explain just what the "false information" was. He could have simply mailed Willimator a message to confirm, but no.  In true Conservapedia style, he has to lie, bully and cover up evidence.

So, as Andrew Schlafly quietly removes TK's rights and blocks his account, sending one of his most loyal (and yet ultimately disloyal) servants quietly into the night, it's fair to assume that TK's death will become just another FBI incident, and an opportunity for the rats that inhabit Conservapedia, to squirm away from that nasty thing called Truth.

  2. TK was a Sysop for 4 years or more - they should have posted something in memorium of his passing.

That would be a completely unnecessary act of violence when some of your readers would gladly give it up without a fight.

  5. But... why? With most things CP it's usually pretty clear cut what their agenda is, their intentions are easily enough understood. But this appears to make very little sense. Do you know why they'd want to brush hs demise under the carpet like that?

  7. It's probably because we revealed at the same time, that TK had been leaking the CP sysops' e-mails all along. Andy had been warned about this, since TK first reappeared back in 2008. Even so, he went on to make him a full sysop again, and invited him into the secret chat rooms. Now as Andy cannot bear having to admit making a mistake, TK simply becomes an unperson and any mention of him is verboten.

What?! I'm one of them. Eg you only need to ask nicely and my pooper is open for your Business. How is what said homophobic in light of what I was actually responding to? You're a doodoo head.

The leak was one thing but I suspect that ith Terry dead, and obviously no longer causing all manner of trouble behind the scenes, the easy thing to do was simply pretend he never existed. Andy and his goons always had at least an inkling of a notion that nothing Terry did or said was the genuine article. So when Terry died all those little pieces of evidence they previously had started to make sense in the broader context of stuff from Terry's background that people finally felt free to make known. The guy was a motherfucker. Had not one single real friend anyone can verify. And he he financially fucked his own family on multiple occassions. If you learned things like that about a man you already detested wouldn't you just brush his memory under the carpet too?

  10. Really? Seems strange, given that your comment above seems to be using anal sex as an insult to people. But whatever.

  11. Still extra funny though, when Andy wouldn't hear - and wilfully ignored - anything bad to do with TK when he was still alive. Which makes his subsequent denial even more pathetic.

Raping is the unnecessary act of violence. All he had to do was ask nicely.

Ok, fine. But can you pretend to hate it?
